This is with reference to your email dated 19.01.2018 addressed to Chief Operating Officer regarding the captioned policy numbers.
On receipt of your email, we have reviewed the case and observe that these policies were issued based on the details furnished in the proposal form. We also refer to our previous letter dated 18.01.2018 wherein we have addressed your concerns in detail.
We have not received your representation during free look cancellation period which has expired after 15 days from the date of delivery of the policy document to you. Also, the policy was issued based on your confirmation during the pre-issuance welcome call.
Under these circumstances we are unable to accede to your request for cancellation of policy and refund the premium paid at this stage as any deviations in the approved product terms and conditions would be a violation of the regulatory guidelines.
Please note that, the benefit does not end at maturity in your SBI Life - Shubh Nivesh Plan. As you have opted for Whole life option, the life cover equal to the sum assured would continue under the policy without any further premium payments, till any untoward event happens, OR till the life assured attains 100 years of age whichever is earlier. Further, the benefits in your SBI Life Smart Income Protect - Series 3 plan as well as Shubh Nivesh plan have been explained in the policy document as well as in our previous email dated 18.01.2018.
We request you to continue the policies and enjoy benefits in the same.
We have tried our best to resolve your complaint, in case the resolution is not to your satisfaction you may escalate the matter further by writing to the Insurance Ombudsman at bimalokpal.ahmedabad@ecoi.co.in
In case we do not receive any communication from you within 8 weeks from date of this email we shall treat the complaint as closed.
