I am writing this email with great concern and seek your support in resolving the same.
I was approached by one of sbi credit card sale guy named ROSHAN at More super market , sec-48 Gurgaon. As I was a privileged customer of Amex , he persuaded me to go for SBI elite card, which has membership fee of Approx 6k including GST. As I was using unlimited credit allowance , I had requested that I will need minimum 3 lac spending limit , which he has promised. but when I received the Card , I got to know it was 1 lac limit card for which I was suppose to pay membership fee. I had complained to Roshan and he said that you need to talk to customer care and washed his hand from the responsibility.
I had complained to customer care twice , in month of Jan(18) & April or May (18). but they did not do anything about it. As a frustrated customer I decided to discontinue the card. I cleared all the payment of money which was spent through that card , NOT the membership fee. Then customer care folks called and said you can cut the card and throw it, we are discontinuing the card.
But again , a Lie was given to me from your team, they kept the pending amount of membership fee open. I am still getting the bills with interest every month on the amount of membership fee.
I must have explained more than 70 collection agents calling me for the payment pending but no body heard me. Some of them were using language which is border to abusive tone.
I was blackmailed by the customercare person over call that , pay this MEMBERSHIP amount otherwise I will screw your cibil score.
I am going through huge mental agony because of this torture , I was happy user of other company credit card where I have never defaulted the payment and still pay before the due date.I was sold this credit card with fake commitments and been punished for believing the sales person.
i wrote to there customer care and they said that , they are sorry about this , but i need to pay approx 16ooo rupees for the cibil clean up and 5400 approx as a settlement amount. i wrote to them on what kind of customer service is this where you are assking for money to help the customer. so they are asking me as i have not paid teh 6000 ruppes membership fee , at current situtaion i will have to pay more than 20,000 rupees to settle this.
please help me in this senerio , credit card compnay lie alot while selling and then they will ask you to sign of multiple empty forms and then they say you have signed the documents adn agreed to it.
This unethical practises need to addressed and need your intervention to stop these corporate atrocities.
