2. Due to Covid -19, I decided to get a broadband internet connection for the zoom classes of my son and same has been duly intimated to the respondent the very purpose of using their services.
3. That the respondent showed me a plan with 40mbps to run the zoom classes and webex meet and also told me the monthly charges @ Rs. 550 will be charged only if I pay for half year advance payment in one go.
4. That on 22.09.2020 I have made the payment of Rs. 4005/- for six months and Rs. 1000 for security of router and device was installed at my premises on the above mentioned address. However, since the day one I have been not able to use the internet properly. There are many disturbances in the net like buffering in every 2-3 minutes, frequent disconnections during meetings, not browsing sites etc.
5. That immediately on the next day I have made a complaint regarding no internet after connection. On this my complaint was tackle by one Mr. Ashwani Sharma but of no use and the internet issue persists.
6. That I have made several complaints one after another but nothing happened and there was great harassment for me during the harsh times of Covid -19. That I have also called several times on Customer Care and Mailed them but nothing happened as they responded in unprofessional manner “ we are working with lesser staffing, will call you back” but no one attended my complaints.
7. That after so much harassment and financial loss I decided to disconnect/stop the services of the respondent. That on 03.11.2020 I wrote a massage on personal whatsapp window of service provider in my area to disconnects his services and refund my amount.
8. After this complaint and asking for refund, the respondents took my complaint seriously and one executive visited my place and told me that the router provided by Tikona is not working properly and will change the router within two days after which my internet will work fine. However, even after installing new router the condition remained the same and there was no improvement in working of the Tikona internet.
9. That I am using Airtel pocket wifi for the zoom meeting classes of my son from last one and half years.
10. That I have been constantly making complaints almost on every week but not engineer visited my place since last 6 months. That again in the month of July,2021 I wrote a mail to Tikona for disconnection of services and refund my amount but then one executive again visited my place to fix the problem but unable to fix the same.
11. During his visit executive informed me that the device installed at the terrace is an old one, not good quality product, and customers with this device have complaints like no connection, frequent disconnection etc. He advised me to upgrade my plan thereafter when on his instructions I searched for upgraded plan I came to know that I have been cheated by the respondent since last one year.
12. After this information I was shocked and stunned and search for Tikona broadband Plans on net I found that I am paying Rs.550 for 10mbps however better plans are available for Rs. 339 and 40mbps.
13.That the respondents told me that they are providing me 40mbps but their executive showed me that my plan is very expensive and that is too for just 10mbps and 300Gbs.
14. That the respondents have cheated me by charging higher amount which is not listed in their websites on Google and showed me wrong plan which is not only waste of time but expensive worthless. That the respondents by charging higher amount cheated me and harassed me mentally and financially and also made me suffered a loss of Rs. 1.5lakh as I was disconnection during important case (anticipatory bail) of my life on 20.07.2021.
