INSTEAD OF REDUCING TAXES CHARGED BEFORE GST, RESTAURANTS ARE CHARGING TOTAL 18% GST ON THEIR MENU PRICE(WHICH WAS MADE AS PER OLD TAXES) SO THEY ARE CHARGING DOUBLE TAX. SOME ONE MUST STOP THEM & PENALIZE THESE RESTAURANT & "AHAR"

Hi Team, I have booked a flat after GST implementation in July 2017. Builder is charging 12% on total flat value. But the flat is already 80% completed. Is it right to charge 12% on total value? or the GST is applicable for rest of the 20% of work? If builder charge 12%, do they pass the credit input to us at the time of handover?
