I ordered an " Ibuki Foldable Study Desk with Multipurpose Cabinet in Walnut Brown Finish by Mintwud " from PEPPERFRY on 8th March 2019. The order number is 305162430. The table arrived was broken. I informed the concerned authorities for the return when the company's carpenter opened it in front of me. For the next two days, they kept on sending me contact details of various executives coming to pick up the table, but no one came. On the third day, I called up the customer care and begged them to pick up, and they did the third day on 19 March 2019. The broken table kept on lying on the floor as the carpenter left, my brother tripped on it and fell. He also had a minor injury in his hand. For the next three days, they didn't initiate the refund, I again called up the customer care and finally on 22nd March 2019, they initiated the refund of 11274.0. According to them, "The refund process may take 7-10 working days from the date of initiation. The refund will reflect under the name of "Trendsutra Platform Services PVT LTD" (our parent company)."
After waiting for ten working days, I called up the customer care again to no avail. They requested my bank statement, and I gave them my bank statement. Today it is the 14th working day, and I haven't still received my money back. I have contacted the bank thrice in the last four days.
I am a writer. I recently met an accident and hurt my knee. Doctors have allowed sitting on a chair and table to work; I cannot fold my knees more than 90 degrees. Due to this injury, I ordered a new comfy and foldable table to sit comfortably and work. I removed my last table in the hope of a new and better one. My money has been blocked for more than a month now. Neither I can't buy a new table, nor I can get my old table. My whole life is messed up, and the customer care doesn't listen. Please do something. I expect the company to pay the penalty in terms of money as well. I believe they have kept my money and earning interest on them. It's been over a month I am suffering from this torture, constantly pleading for my own money to no avail.
Please do something, I will be highly obliged.
